As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head chef in the kitchen, acting as their second-in-command whilst supporting the development of the juniors within the team.
Responsabilities
Control the production and preparation of food in the kitchen.
Use experience to put forward culinary ideas and implement them when appropriate.
Frequently taste all dishes & there ingredients independently and actively engage junior chefs to do the same, ensuring you are always inquisitive, and curious about flavour paring, cooking techniques & cuisine styles.
Supporting/overseeing junior chefs on the receipt of food deliveries fromsuppliers. Educating junior team members on ingredients and the optimum way to store them.
