Job Description

As a Countryside Ranger, you will ensure that your site is managed effectively, conserved, protected and the natural environment value heritage features are enhanced, allowing opportunities for sympathetic public access and engagement.

Responsabilities

  • Cutting scrub and bramble to restore open heathlands, meadows and glades
  • Helping to lead volunteers delivering a wide range of practical conservation tasks throughout the year.
  • Digging to maintain and restore ponds and watercourses
  • Carrying out site inspections and assisting with infrastructure repairs (eg fences, bridges, boardwalks)
